We enjoyed all other stuff in the hotel.

We enjoyed all other stuff in the hotel. We got a room near the swimming pool and it was a bit too loud so we asked to change it and it was not a problem at all. The food was very good, meat, fish, vegetables, ice cream. The beach was excellent - we walked along the beach, and our part of the beach seemed to be the best - not overcrowded, very clean and quite.

The only negative side for us was the taxi service on reception. A man was very greedy and he wanted more than 100 CUC to go to Havana airport in the early morning. Finally we reached an agreement for 100 CUC, but he played a small dirty trick on us: the car turned to be very old and uncomrotable. So if you want a good taxi for reasonable price - go to the right from the hotel and you'll find a nice taxi near the neighboring hotel.

Aware that Cuba is a time capsule and is NOT a capitalist...

Aware that Cuba is a time capsule and is NOT a capitalist funded country with modern buildings and lots of money spent on it, this hotel exceeded expectations. The room was cleaned daily, was basic, neat but very big. The food particularly at breakfast and dinner was varied and we never went hungry. The drink were good and obviously included. The beach - wow! There were always bed available all day which is almost unheard of when you go on holiday. The pool was good but we understood why there were beds when you saw the beach. Breathtaking, clear blue sea, soft white sand it was simply stunning. Lots of beds and towels to given to you in the morning. Long wide beach, great music and free drinks from the hut. Cannot express how beautiful the sea was. There was advertisement of beach games and activities but didn't see this at all - just the volleyball but that was fun to watch and get involved in. The evening entertainment was not great although the dancers were very skilled! The first night we arrived there was a live band and music which was brill but didn't see this again. The other restaurants were available t book but we only went to the Cuban which was nice. Overall a great trip if you need a break on a beautiful beach building a tan and drinking cocktails/beer/etc.

DONT STAY HERE

Honestly, there probably isn't enough room to cover the issues with this property and its staff. 100% if you are considering this property, just spend the extra $50 or more and stay at the next best place, it will be an infinite improvement over this property. A couple of high points; lots of cock roaches in our room, did not get towels for our room for 2 days (of our 3) -- I asked the same receptionist politely several times over two days for towels and she continuously and rudely shrugged me off until I had the security guard help me get towels (seriously), I took a spill down some stairs at the resort because they were slick and put a gash in my knee -- same receptionist said "sorry no first aid kit", again had to go to the same security guard who helped us out, food was not that great, receptionist (again the same one mentioned) tried to under change us $20 CUC when we changed money one time, etc... Varadero is beautiful, it is worth visiting, but if you are making the trip... do yourself a favor, spend the extra money and the cost benefit will far exceed staying here. Full disclosure, I have never stayed at an all inclusive resort and am fairly modest in my travels, so if I am telling you to spend extra money to avoid this place... TRUST ME.

Great family time.

The beach was clean, staff make you feel great at all times. Shows at night were SUPER!

The food was terrible, More music and activities at the pool could be better. The hotel in general needs to be repaired, rooms looks from the 80' air conditioning system needs to be changed.

Very good price for an All-inclusive package. Won't disappoint !!!

The food was excellent in quality, variety, and freshness. Very tasty as well. Very clean overall, with good security. There was a nice music concert with a Rock Band in addition to the usual disco. Air conditioning worked great as well. Beautiful beach !!

The sound system for the disco was a little off, and the D.J. wasn't very good. In fact he left some recording on and disappeared for part of the night! !

Staff dropped my laptop case and shattered one side of my laptop without any reimbursement to us. The manager, Walter said he would do it and we have to come next day where Seyli will take care of it but it was a lie. The rooms were poor and corroding, with large bugs in the bath tub. The entertainment is sub par and food is below average. Beach that the hotel has is good. You even have to line up for the towels!!! We booked four people but upon arrival was given a run around as they saw max 3 ppl booked so they made us pay Cuban 139 more for the extra person!! It was only my 3 year old daughter! Next day upon checking our itinerary they returned it. Reception staff incl Dania are rude as anything and won't help you with much.

The resort itself very pretty, beach front was amazing. Most of the staff friendly and helpfull (except the reception staff). Other guests at the hotel :-)

The reception staff not very friendly, all other staff were really nice and friendly. I misplaced my kindle at the pool and it took me 3 times at the reception for anyone to even make a call, kindle was never returned. The food wasn't the best. I often went to the city for dinner.

Beautiful beach, nice rooms, good service

Food could me more "visual" and tasty (more spices etc.). Tourists could learn how to put cigarette stubs to ash trades, and plastic into trash. They don't belong to beach/sea. Respect the nature even though you are in an all inclusive hotel!
